Does hearing a the pshhhttt of soda can make you want one (Ear Hunger)? Maybe smelling cookies straight from the oven (Nose Hunger), or seeing the perfectly plated dish in front of you (Eye Hunger)? These are just some of the hungers we can have, the others are mouth, heart, stomach, & cellular. Each one plays a part in our choices and checking-in with ourselves to see what's hungry can help us decide to eat or wait and can be a tool for self-discipline. Next time you reach for something, pause first. You may be surprised you don't want it after all.
