The next time you feel "triggered" stop for just a moment and breathe. In...out...in...out.... Ask yourself are you sad, mad, angry, frustrated etc.? Use this mindful moment to help you let this impulse pass. If you find that what you're feeling is hunger it might be good to ask yourself if you want what is in front of you or does your body need something better? Being "triggered" is not an excuse to indulge; an inevitability, but an opportunity to pause, reflect, and choose.
